ARCHITECTURAL ENVIRONMENTS
(Sustainable Construction Design)

Architectural Environments is a practice devoted to delivering best value in construction through traditional procurement and design process.

The current procurement process in the NHS is partnering agreement set up via Procure 21 and now through Procure 21+.

In this system the workload for major schemes is divided between six Principal Supply Chain Partners (PSCP'S) who are main contractors these include Balfour Beatty, I.H.P, H.P.S, Interserve, Kier and Wilmott Dixon.

We believe that in the near future funding for smaller schemes will be made available for Health Authorities to use outside the P21+ process.

Our proposal would be to undertake a Feasibility Study to RIBA A/B which would focus on the following.

Carbon Reduction Methods
Technical Compliance
Estates Stratergy

Insulation upgrades

New windows with K rated glass

New A rated heating system

Building fabric review

Renewable energy

Acoustic requirements

Fire statergies

Toilet provisions

Compliance with Building Bulletins

Standard Specifications Layout

Planning and Building Regulations

DDA compliance and special educational needs

Design briefing

Assessment of current building usage

Advice on any additional building that may be required

Provisions of specialist facilities as laboratories, IT and D&T facillities

On conclusion of the above studies we would provide a cost report and a business case which would enable us to progress to the next stage of scheme design.
